About LIFE GEAR, LLC.
Casey Jenkins, founder of Life-Gear LLC, saw an unfulfilled need in patient care. When his wife was briefly hospitalized, Casey saw first-hand the soothing effects of the warm blankets the nurses would bring. Wanting her to have this same option at home, Casey went to purchase a blanket warmer like they had at the hospital. Casey realized that the device used in hospitals was too large and expensive for home use. Casey was determined to make this comfort available to everyone. Through months of diligent work and numerous proto-types, Life-Gear’s success story was born: Comfort Zone®.
During the development of Comfort Zone even the proto-types were used by relatives to provide comfort and soothing during times of illness and recovery. It was through this compassion towards loved ones that Casey became confident that Comfort Zone would help many on their way to better health.
While his primary focus has always been to assist those most in need, it became clear that Comfort Zone had a wide variety of applications. Being devoted dog owners, Casey and his wife immediately thought of their Chihuahuas and the problems they have in regulating their own temperatures. Animals just like humans enjoy the soothing pleasures of a pre-warmed blanket or towel.
